You don't have to do it all on your own…

If you are struggling to deal with life's challenges, I get it.

Constant worry, battered confidence, relationship difficulties, life transitions and uncertainties, bereavement and loss, social expectations and financial pressures - life in today's world can be tricky to navigate. It's easy to end up feeling alone, overwhelmed, even hopeless or depressed.

When I was in a dark place, finding a therapist I could talk to freely with no shame, who really listened to me with understanding and compassion, who didn't tell me I was weak or making a fuss, who treated me as a person not a patient... well, it brought me back from the brink.

Having that support changed my life for the better; counselling helped me heal, helped me grow, helped me change. That's why I chose to become a counsellor.

Whilst I can't change the world around you, I can offer a safe, caring and supportive space where we can work together towards healing and lasting well-being.

Are you…?

Anxious or constantly worrying

Your mind rarely seems to switch off, and it's becoming difficult to feel settled.

Perhaps you find yourself struggling socially, or always thinking the worst.

Maybe you’re convinced that you just aren’t good enough.

Dealing with change

A relationship, family situation, loss, work, identity or life stage has left you wondering what happens next.

Always looking after everyone else

Perhaps you are a carer, for a child, a parent, a family. Maybe you find yourself always taking responsibility for everybody else, never prioritising yourself.

Or maybe you feel taken for granted, unthanked, unseen.

Or Perhaps…?

You’ve lost someone or something special to you

Grief and loss can be devastating, you might be wondering how long this pain will last, how you can ever recover, or why it hurts so much.

Maybe you think you should have ‘moved on’ and worry that you haven’t, that you can’t.

You want to understand yourself better

You'd like to explore your thoughts, feelings, patterns and relationships with someone who won't judge you.

Maybe you’ve felt different all your life, don’t fit in, can’t work the world and don’t understand why.

You don't really know what's wrong

You just know that something doesn't feel right anymore.

Maybe you feel hopeless, can’t find the joy in life, or feel overwhelmed by world events.

If it's causing you distress, we can talk about it…

I have worked with clients struggling with issues including low mood, anxiety, current and historic relationship difficulties, low self-worth, social anxiety, gender identity, grief and loss, lack of confidence, work/school related stress, life changes, chronic illness and more...

Everybody is unique and everybody's experiences of distress are different.

You may have a specific issue that is troubling you, or maybe you just have a feeling that things aren't right or that life is somehow going all wrong, or that you just aren’t good enough.

There is no judgement here, only warmth, compassion and connection.

People often ask me what I specialise in.

I could say that it’s anxiety and depression, or grief and loss. And that would be true.

But mostly, I specialise in being human.

Being human comes with all kinds of challenges, complexities, worries, stressful relationships, financial pressures, societal expectations.

We can find ourselves dealing with bigotry, unkindness, exploitation, difference, abuse, addiction, mental illness. It’s exhausting and harmful and can bring us to the end our our tether.

But it doesn’t have to be the whole of your story, the only part of who you are.

I believe that counselling therapy is about providing a safe, warm, welcoming place where you can feel heard, understood and empowered to create a life that feels more authentic and meaningful.

Together we can explore your feelings, experiences and inner resources at a pace and in a way that feels right for you, helping you develop greater confidence and resilience, so that you can weather the storms and maybe even enjoy riding the waves.

I am a Pluralistic Counsellor, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and belong to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

In addition, I am a qualified yoga teacher, having completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training course, accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Where appropriate, and always with your consent, I can gently incorporate elements of yoga into our sessions, including simple breathing techniques, mindfulness practices, and guided meditation.

These approaches can help regulate the nervous system, encourage grounding, and promote a deeper sense of calm, complementing the therapeutic process.

I believe that lasting wellbeing comes from recognising the connection between the mind, body and breath. By weaving together all three, I offer an holistic approach that supports emotional healing while helping you find greater balance, insight and clarity.

How do sessions work?
